Inline filters are used prevent small sediment from entering your household plumbing or to eliminate minor taste and odour in your well water. Sediment filters stop small particles of sand and other material that may be picked up by your water well pump from passing through to your faucets. Carbon filters remove any minor odours and tastes from the water, these are generally used after an iron filter or softener to remove the last bit of iron and sulfur from the water. Some household UV Systems have 1 - 2 inline filters preinstalled as part of the UV System to provide the purest tasting water.

Spindown Sand / Sediment filters are great for systems that have a large sediment coming through on a more frequent bases. The sediment is captured on the outside of the fine mesh screen, and the built in manual purge valve allows you to flush the sediment to drain and then shut the valve without disrupting the water supply. On occasion the sand screen will need to be replaced but this system allows for frequent draining without the need to replace the filter screen every time.

Turbidity filters do not require as much attention as Inline Filters and Spindown Filters. These units are equipped with a digital valve head that automatically flush the captured sediment to drain. These filters require maintenance periodically but can generally go years without the need for any service to be done to the filter media. Our turbidity filters are filled with Nextsand Media that has a nominal micron rating of 3 - 5 Microns, has a typical surface loading rate of 16 - 20 GPM / SQFT and a silt / ultra fine particulate rating of 12 GPM / SQFT. These filters stand on the ground and have an approximate height of 56".
